Fern Barishman, native New Yorker, has been making music since she was 7. Although her first love was the accordion, she smartly switched to piano at age 12 and has been playing it ever since.

At 21, she traveled to Hollywood, telling her parents she’d be home in 3 months. Instead, she found herself working on such TV shows as Name That Tune, The Midnight Special, Tony Orlando & Dawn, and The New Soupy Sales Show. After winning an Emmy for Hot Hero Sandwich on NBC , Fern decided to exit stage left, or should we say North, and left Hollywood for the tinier hamlet of Ojai.

While in Ojai, Fern added painting to her repertoire. Learn more about Fern, her music and her art by clicking on the images below.
